HUTT PARK COMMITTEE.

A meeting of the Hutt Park Gommittee was held last night. A letter was read from the Defence Department offering £7 10s in full settlement of the committee's claim on account of the damage done by the D Battery when in camp. The offer was accepted. The committee approved of arrangements made by the chairman with Major M'Donald, whereby the committee will receive £14 18s for the damage done -during the cadet encampment. An offer from the promoters of a new goK club to pay £10 a year to play on the park was accepted for one year. The caretaker complained of the conduct of certain persons connected with horse training, and it was decided to issue a warning. The clerk reported that at the end of the financial year there was a credit balance of £21 14s. The liabilities were £156, and there were assets valued at £57.
