COLLISION AND THE SEQUEL.
There was a collision o? the Ngahan»anga Gorge-road one night recently between a tasicab travelling uphill, containing a party, and a motor cycle, on which two mep were riding downhill. The lattei- vehicle wac damaged. The sequel was that the owner of th» cycle, Honrick Whitaker, sued Charles Savage, chauffaur of the motorcar, in th» Magistrate's Court y«£tarday afternoon for recovery of £25. Plaintiff based hir claim on the ground*- that .defendant wan driving or hi* wrong sid<* of the road, that he did not sound hir horn, and that the lights front his lamps were ineffective. Defendant contended lhat ho tc-ok all reasonable precaution mc< that hi had rot driv«B negligently. Judgnent v.as for defendant with costs £8 6c. Mr. Mackell appeared for claimant, and Mr. Wilford for defendant.
