THE CONSTABLE-STREET EXTENSION.
TO TIIE EDITOJI. Sir, — I would like your permission to ask the committee agitating for the Con-stable-street tramway extension a question. Are the citizens residing in the neighbourhood of the present terminus to pay an additional penny for a ride to tlio bottom of Constable-street, simply because the Newtown and Kilbirnie people want a through connection? This is the rumour freely going around, and &o far the committee has not said yes or no. It seems as if they are trying to get our signatures to the- petition without n full knowledge of the position. — I am, etc. , I
