[BY TELEGIIAPH— J'RESS ASSOCIATION.] WANUANUI, This Day. A young man named Brookie, employed in v local brewery, had a nariow escape of being dr.th.ed to pieces. He was cuught in th© belting when tiying to bhifb a belt, and cut ned to the top of tho bhafting. Hi» crieb attiacted the engineer, who was fortunately handy, nnd who btopped tho machinery. Brookie had a thigh broken und \\a» contiderably shaken.
