♦ Prior to a practice match at the Polo Ground, Miramar, on Saturday, the Athletic Football Club held a short tports meeting, lhe competitions resulted: — 60 yards Club Championship (gold medal presented by Mr. J. Cunningham). — A. Cunningham 1, N. Gordon 2, L. H. Allan 3. Won by a yard. Eighteen started. 75 Yards Junior Handicap (trophy presented by Mr. A. St. Clair).— M. Poole, 1 yard, 1 ; L. Wilson, 2 yards, 2, 8/ Jones, scr, 3. Won by two yards. Tw«nty-two started. Goal-kicking (sovereign case presented by the president, Mr. G. F. C. Campbell).— S. Wilson 1 (four goals out of five attempts). Twenty-one competitors. 440 Yards Relay, teams of four men. — A. Wilson, L. M'Donald, L. Chuprchward, and R. J. Adams 1 ; A. Cunningham. L. Wilson, A. Bott, and X. Johnson 2. Six teams started.
