Bench, resulted :—: — Mr. Gibbins (Liberal) ... 8920 Mr. Hartshorn (Unionist) 6210 The constituency includes 17,000 mem- ! bers of the Miners' Federation, whereof , - 5000 are voters. ' [At the general election in January last Sir Samuel Evans (Liberal) polled 13,175 votes against 3582 secured by Mr. G. H Williams (Unionist.)]
