WANGANUI RUGBY UNION. [BY. TELEGRAPH — PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WANGANUI, Ist April. The annual meeting of tho Wanganui Rugby Union was held to-night, and the following officers elected : — Patron, Rev. J. L. Dove ; president, G. Spriggens; vice-presidents, Dr. Wall, Messrs. G. Simpson, And L. Baesett ; secretary, Mr. R. Dunkley; treasurer, Mr. L. Craig; vice-president New Zealand Rugby Union, Mr. G. Spriggens. The following motion, with a view to preventing rough play, was carried, after discussion : "For each player warned by a referee and reported to the Management Committee in a cup contest one point. shall be deducted from the cup contest points of tho team playing the offending member, and for each player orderod off the field by tho referee two points shall be deducted likewise ; two points deduction to be tho full penalty lor any ono player in the same match.
