The Grand Jury has indicted Wolter (the alleged slayer of Rose Wheeler, a girl of 16) for murder in tho first degree. The trial will begin on Monday. ATTEMPT TO ESTABLISH AN ALIBI. MERELY A TOOL. (Received April 1, 9.40 a.m.) NEW YORK, 31st March. Wolter's counsel is endeavouring to establish an alibi. He declares he was merely the tool of a gang of traffickers in young girls, and protests that statements were extorted from hint under I the "third degree" examination. A shopkeeper testified that Wolter purchased a gallon of kerosene on the day of the murder, and afterward* bought a pot of paint and a bruih U i bid* certain tiacs*.
