A cyclonic disturbance has passed to the eastward of East Cape, with south-easterly winds, strong to cale, but decreasing in force since midnight, especially southward of Ka«t Cape and Kawhia owing to the influence of a decreasing pressure in the south. Cold south-easterly winds and heavy rain were experienced jesterday o*er the North Island, hut cool and changeable weather in the South.
