NEW ZEALAND RUGBY UNION. The management committee of the New Zealand Rugby Union met last evening. There wore present: — Messrs. G. Dixon (chairman), H Kelly, N. Galbraith, W. Perry, D. M. Isaacs, and J. Laughton. The New South Wales Rugby Union wrote stating that the decision arrived at by delegates attending the i« cent conference, repie.«entative of New South Walet>, Queensland, and New Zealand, had been approved by the Union, with tbe exception of thote relating to professionalism, which bad yet to be considered. Although the more serious business of cup fixtures do not commence for a couple of weeks, enthusiasts will have an opportunity of seeing what should prove to be a good game in the special challenge game between Poneke and Oriental, at the Atfkletic Park to-morrow afternoon. The prospective match between tho touring Greymouth team and Mclroso on the same afternoon, has not yet been definitely nettled. It is understood that if tho Union Company's Nelson boat can be delayed to-morrow evening, the Coast team will stay. Grounds for Association football matches to-morrow have been allotted as follow :—: — No. 1, Miramar, Ramblers ; No. 2, Mjr&mar, Swifts v. Rovers ; No. 3, Miramar, V.M.C.A. ; No. 5, Miramar, Wanderers ; No. 6, Miramar, South Wellington y. Newtown Congregational ; No. 7, Miramar, Marist Bros. v. Swifts ; No 8, Miramar, Diamonds ; No. 10, Miramar, Institute. The South Wellington Club will play the Newtown Congregational Club at No. 6 ground, Miramar. This is the second annual match between the two clubs. The tennis will be as follow :—: — South Wellington : Gell, Wilson, Bell, Crombie, Pnngle, Grinrod, Falder, Dale, Wilson, Twist, and Bland ; emergencies, Phillips and Power. Newtown Congregational : Warwick, Winks, Haycroft, O. Zorn, J. Nelson, Plain, R. Zorn, Johnson, Liversage. G. Nelson, and Arthut. It has been decided that the Wellington Football Association's Lenguo matches will commence on the 16th April, instead of the 9th April, as previously arranged. A total of fifty-three entries, inclusive of Wednesday 'teams, it is stated, have baen received* to date. It has been decided to guarantee £5 towaids the cost of a ground at Petone.
