CYCLING CHAMPIONSHIPS.

TO-MORROW'S MEETING. The cycling championship sports meeting, which is to be held to-morrow afternoon on the Basin Reserve, should provide an interesting afternoon's sport. The * competitors include several wellknown cyclists. B. Campion, holder of the New Zealand one mile championship, and E Parkes. the winner of all cycle events nt New Plymouth on Easter Monday, will be present. The club is also trying to encourage amateur cycie racing, 'and in the entries there are pome piomising young riders, including J. Foubister (Auckland) and F. Hetherington. Owing to the poor entries received from the running men, it was deemed advisable to withdraw such races from tho programme. The Petone Brass Band has been engaged to eupply the music. ■ i
