Sir Malcolm M'Eacharn (one time Lord Mayor of Melbourne) wa.s buried at Sorbie, Scotland, in the presence of his wife and family, Mr. Andrew M'llwraitb. Major Roninson, Mr. R. Gambles, and many of the tenant] y. Simultaneous service was' held in St. Columba's Scottish Church, Pont-J«treet. It was largely attended, among thow? present being Sir Reginald Talbot (exGovernor of Victoria), Sir»frolin Taverner (Victorian Agent-General), Sir Charles Lucas (of the Coloniil Office), Captain Collins (Secretary to the High Commissioner for Austialia), Mr. Heaton.
