Irishman and Bright Steel led along the back, Bobrikpff having fallen back last. At the flvefiirlong post, Bright St«el and Knox had a length's lead of Maltine with Bobrikotf still fast. There was no change (excepting that the field closed up) until after the straight was entered. Cumberland Stakes, weight- for-age ; two miles. — Prince Foote, 1 ; Trafalgar, 2 ; Pendil, 3. The only, starters. Pendil got away in the lead and kd for the first mile. Trafalgar led round the bend, but inside the distance Prince Foote shot out and won by a length and a quarter. Trafalgar beat Pendil by six lengths. Time, 3mm 43sec. City Handicap, one mile and fiv« furlongs. — Jinnee, 7.5, 1 ; Didus, 7.7, 2 ; Daisy Chain, 8.2, 3. Nine started. Won by a length. Time, 2min 504' sec.
