Irishman and Bright Steel led along the back, Bobrikpff having fallen back last. At the flvefiirlong post, Bright St«el and Knox had a length's lead of Maltine with Bobrikotf still fast. There was no change (excepting that the field closed up) until after the straight was entered. Maltine had a slight lead at the distance, ' where, taking advantage of an opening, Bobrikoff shot through and won comfortably by four lengths. Malt- King was a length. away. Time, lmin 39sec. Cooree Handicap ; one mile and a furlong.—Storey, 8.9, 1; Mindful, 7.10, 2; Miss CoreHJ, 6.12, 3. Sixteen started. Won by a neck. Time, lmin 52isec. Eatter Stakes, for two year olds ; seven furlongs. — Styria, 1 ; Ptah, 2 ; Orodes, 3. Ten started. Won by thrfte-parts of a length. Time, lmin 27£ sec. Cumberland Stakes, weight- for-age ; two miles. — Prince Foote, 1 ; Trafalgar, 2 ; Pendil, 3. The only, starters. Pendil got away in the lead and kd for the first mile. Trafalgar led round the bend, but inside the distance Prince Foote shot out and won by a length and a quarter. Trafalgar beat Pendil by six lengths. Time, 3mm 43sec. City Handicap, one mile and fiv« furlongs. — Jinnee, 7.5, 1 ; Didus, 7.7, 2 ; Daisy Chain, 8.2, 3. Nine started. Won by a length. Time, 2min 504' sec.
