LODGE MEETINGS.

The Star of Johnsonville Lodge of | Good Templars 4 1.0.0. T., held its weekly session on Tuesday evening. I Bro. Mills, C.T., presided over & Urge attendance. Bro. D. C. Cameron, G.C.T., Sister Thorn, G.C., and members of the advisory board, were officially welcomed. The G.C.T. was then given charge of tho meeting. Encouraging speeches were made by Rio. A. B. Thomson, G.C.. Bro. Mills, C.T., Bro. the Rev. A. F. Burchell, and Sister Thorn, G.C. Songs and recitations by some Wellington brothers and sisters assisted in the evening's enjoyment. This lodge was opened in December, 1909, and was complimented on the good work it is accomplishing. ! The Sunbeam Juvenile Tempie, No. ' 30, 1.0. G.T., held its weekly session in the Mission Hall, Tory-street, on Wednesday evening. Sister E. Petherick, C.T., presided over a large attendance of members and friend*. Bro. D. C. Cameron, of Dunedin, G.C.T. , was present, and gave an interesting address. After the usual business, members contributed the following items : — Duet, Sisters Andrews and Petherick; recitation, Sister Knewstubb ; eong, Sister Nita Webb ; pianoforte solo. Sister Maggie Russell; song, Bro. Paterson ; recitation, Sister May Petherick. The Pioneer Lodge, No. 11, 1.0. G.T., held its weekly session in the Rechabite Hall, Manners-street, on Monday evening. Bro. H. J. Millan, C.T., presided. Four candidates were proposed for membership. The Grand Lodge officersand Advisory Board were piesent, and the G.C.T., Bro. D. C. Cameron, took the chair. Greetings from various lodges i were received and reciprocated. After* routine business had been disposed of, interesting addresses were given by Bro. Cameron, G.C.T., Bro. Thomson, G.C, and Bro. Boxshall, and reference was made to the good work being done by the order throughout the world. A musical programme was provided as follows :— Song, Bro. Newton ; duet, Sisters Barrett and M. Petherick; song, Bro. G. Lambert; recitation, T. E. 'Townsend, G.E.S. ; song, Bro. Robinson; song, Bro. Newton. Sister Allan, who was the winner of a "sentencebinlding" competition, was presented with a* prize by Bro. D. C. Cameron, G.C.T. During the evening refreshments were provided oy tho Harmony Committee. Hearty votes of thanks to Bro. Cameron, G.C.T., the Grand Lodge officers, and Grand Lodge Advisory Board, contributors to the programme, and visitors were carried by acchanation. Bro. Cameron responded on behalf of the Grand Lodge officers and Advisory Board, Bro. Reid for the performers, and several visitors on behjrlf of tho various lodges. The weekly meeting of the Hope of Petone Lodge of Good Templars was held last evening, with Bro. W. Denbv in the chair. Sister Thorn, Grand Chaplain (Dunedin), and Sister Flanagan, Grand Lodge lepreKentative (Masterton) visited the lodge in their official capacity, and weie accorded a hearty welcome. Sister Thorn then took control of tho | meeting, .and Sister Flanagan the V.T. chair. The final arrangements for the debate to be held with the Pioneer Lodge, Wellington, at the meeting next Wednesday were made. It was also decided to invite tho Star of John.«onville to the next *es*ion, when a special programme is to come fiom Wellington. After routine business wa* transacted, Sisters Thorn and Flanagan briefly »d dressed the lodge, and expressed the hope that the lodge would unitedly strive to bring about the suppief.-ion of the liquor traffic. A programme of son^s and recitations was then given.
