GISBORNE, This Day. The storm forecasted by the Government Meteorologist duly arrived. A strong easterly gale is raging, with heavy rain. The lecord for the twentyfour houis preceding 9 o'clock this morning was 3.89 m, making a total of 6.6 in for iorty -eight houis.
