MURDER OF A GIRL. MAN ARRESTED. SEQUEL TO AN ABD-UCTION. By Telegraph. — Press Assoeiation.-Oopyright. (Received March 28, 9.30 a.m.) ' LONDON., 27th March. Reuter's correspondent reports that the partly burnt mutilated body of a girl named Ruth Wheelerj aged 16, was found upon the fire-escape adjoining the rooms occupied by Albert Polter, a New/ York stenographer. It was known that the gkl had applied to Polter for * situation. Polter, prior to the discovery of the body, had been arrested for the abduction of the girl, and had been admitted to bail.
