SUCCESS OF PETONE AND WELLINGTON MEN. [SI TEtKCBArH— rRISS ASSOCIATION.! NAPIER, 26th March. The annual regatta under the auspices of the Hay | < Bay Rowing Association was held at .Vest Shore (tho inner harbour) this afternoon, over a mile course. A north-west wind caused the water to be choppy, and there was only a moderate attendance of spectators. Results :—: — Maiden Fours.— Petone 1, Wellington 2, Uawa (Tolago Bay), 3. Won by a length and a quarter. Maiden Scullc. — Bourgeois (Union, Napier), 1; A. D. Woon (Wanganui), 2; P. G. Woon (Napier), 3. Won easily by two length*. Youths' Four*. — Petone 1, Napier 2, Aramoho 3. Alao staited-i— Union (Napier). Won by half a longth. Maiden Double Sculls.^tar 1, Wellington 2, Union- (Napier) 3. Won easily by two lengths. Junior Sculls. — A. D. Brown (Napier), 1; J. W. Cato (Union, Napier), 2; C. Gray (Wellington), 3. Also started — J. Northover (Wanganui), S. Greenlee* (Aramoho), and J. . Bonner (Petone). Won after a hard race by half a length. Junior Fours. — Napier 1, Wellington 2, Petone 3. Also started — Union (Napier) and Aramoho. Won by a quarter of a length after a great lace. Maiden Pairs. — Petone 1, Napier 2, Wellington 3. Won .comfortably by several lengths. Maiden Fours. — Union (Wanganui), 1 ; Aramoho, 2 ; Petone 3. Won easily by two lengths. . Junior Double Sculls.— Union (Napier), 1 ; Napier, 2 ; Wellington, 3. Also started — Star and Aramoho. Won after a great race by half a length. Junior Pairs. — Napier 1, Petone 2. Also started — Aramoho and Wellington. Won by inches after a srreat race. Neither Aramoho nor Wellington finished.
