At the Sons of Tempeiaace Confer•ence a delegate advocated a. tax on wool to make up for loss of revenue through the prohibition of alcohol. He pointed out that wool averaged £13 per bale, of which £3 went in labour, go there w-as ahuge profit. A tax of a pouad a bale would yield two million pounds annually.
