Rain has fallen in most parts of the country, and cloudy and unsetled weather has prevailed with fogs about Cook and Foveaux Straits. The barometer lias fallen in the southern districts, but there has been little movement in the north. Westerly winds have prevailed over the North Island, and northerly in the South.
