COERCING A SUFFRAGETTE. By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright, (Received October 29, 8.35 a.m.) LONDON, 28th October. It is stated that Mrs. Strangways, tho Suffragette, who is in gaol at Manchester, barricaded her cell with a plank bed. The warders inserted a ho.se through the window and drenched her for an hour. Finally, they forced the door.
