DOMINION'S SYSTEM COMMENDED. EXPERIMENTAL BUT BUSINESSLIKE. By Teieuraph.— Press Association.— Copyright. LONDON, 28th October. The Financial News, commenting on the general policies pursued by the various portions of the Empire, says: — "One of the many satisfactory fe&j tures of Government in British oversea!^ Dominions is the energy and vitality displayed in the administration of their finances. A good instance of this is New Zealand's "establishment of a State Guaranteed Advances Department. "The Bill proposes a somewhat original line of action, which must be regarded as largely experimental j but it furnishes convincing evidence of the Government's recognition of the public's necessities and of its intention to supply them on businesslike lines."
