PERSONAL MATTERS.
Mr. Henry Saint George, Trinity College Musical Examiner, will begin his tour of the South Island in Blenheim. Mr. Edwin Smith, of Timaru, who has been on a tour in the North Island, will return to Wellington to-night, and will stay here for a few days. Mr. N. F. J. Ilaszard, formerly 'of Waihi, who went to .the Malay States to undertake trigonometrical work; has returned to New Zealand on sick leave. Mr. P. Hally, Conciliation Commissioner, and Mr. W. Pryor, secretary 6f | the New Zealand Employers' Federation. j have gone to Palmerston, to participate in a conference regarding the flaxmilling dispute. f Captain Chesney has left Wellington for Gisborne, to conduct classes of instruction ; Captain Duigan, instructing officer for engineers, leaves for Christchurch this evening ; and Captain Richardson, R.N.Z.A., is lecturing in Dunedin. Mr. H. E. Carey, formerly of the New Zealand Government Veterinary Dei partment, has been appointed secretary of the Lady Talbot Milk Institute, Melbourne. The company was founded by a number of medical men interested in the proper feeding of infants. The remains of the late Mr. Robert Hunter, who was one of Wellington's oldest and most respected residents, were interred in the Bolton-street cemetery this morning. Only the relatives and a few personal friends of the deceased gentleman were present, in accordance with wish of the family. The chief mourners were Messrs. Robert H. Hunter «nd George E. Hunter (sons), Mr. James Dunn (the late Mr. Hunter's partner) and his son (Mr. Alex. Dunn), and Messrs. W. H. S. Moorhouse and J. P. Maxwell. The Rev. H. G. Blackburne, of St. Peter's Church, conducted the funeral service.
