The amount of deposits in the Post OfKce Savings' Banks of the Dominion during the June quarter was £2,500,941, or £84,439 in excess of the withdrawals. For the corresponding quarter of 1908 the deposits amounted to £2,607,657, or £159,950 in excess of the withdiawals. In the following postal districts the withdrawals exceeded the deposits :—: — Gisborne, by £1227; Uokitika, by £3634 ; Napier, by £11,534 ; Wanganui, by £15,732 ; • Wellington by £5213 ; Wcstport, by £1415. The postal revenue for tho quarter was £127,166. as corapared with £114,127 for the June quarter of 1908, and the telegraphic revenue amounted to £122,986", against £113,892. The number of telegrams sent was 1,849,664.
