THE GRAND JUNCTION. [BY TELCGIIAPH — SPECIAL TO THE POST.] WAIHI, This Day. Further development of the make of cue met with 212 feet out from the shaft in the cross-cut north at No. 5 level of the Grand Junction mine has disclosed the existence of something more than a "dropper." So far, quartz has been ?eneti'atcd for ten or eleven feet, and a nil face of quartz is 'showing in the drive. Some of the quartz looks very well, but little can be said as to tho values generally until the official assay results are made known. Further development work will be necessary to determine the identity of the ore body. Should it prove to be the hanging wall section of the No. i reef (the Martha), tho lode has come to hand earlier than was expected, according to its underlie at the level above, and the probability is that a big body ot quartz will be disclosed in the bottom working.
