NEW ALPINE MINE RETURNS.
[BY TELEGRAPH —J?IU£B9 ASSOCIATION.} GREYMOUTH, This Day. The return from the New Alpine mine is 3930z5, valued at about £1500, made up as follows : 2780z from 962 tons crushed by the battery, and 115oz from cyanide and concentrates.
A sitting of the Native Appellate Court is being held in Wellington today. Associated with Chief Judge Palmer are Judges Rawson and Jones. The decision of the Native Land Court with regard to the position of certain lands at Levin was. upheld. This afternoon the court ia dealing; with a matter relating to tho Kcnepeiu block, in the Manawatu. To-morrow argument will bo heard in connection with an appeal by a European in Wellington against the upsetting of the will of the late Wi lUutuft, a lending chief at Poi'angßb&u, I Hawkw Buy.
