CHURCH COLLECTIONS.
Just prior to the taking up of the offertory at Courtenay-ploeo Congregational Church on Sunday evening, the pastor, the Rev. A. -Al. Aspland. made an appeal to the congregation on behalf of .'tho citizens' relief works, and, as a ■resfult, an amount of £5 5s was collected, which* sum will be devoted to the fund. The collection at the Vivian-street Baptist Church in aid of -the fund produced £21 16s Id.
