FIGHTING IN MOROCCO.
TRIBESMEN ATTACKED AND DEFEATED. ■■ By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright. LONDON, 10th July. Owing to Moorish acts of aggression, the Spanish forces at Melilla (one of the Spanish Presidios, on the north coast of Morocco) bombarded the Mozuza tribesmen, who were encamped behind escarpments, inflicting heavy loss. The Spaniards captured a strategic position at Atulayon after a desperate fight, in which several Spaniaids were killed and thirty-two wounded. KAIDS SURRENDER. (Received July 12, 8.30 a.m.) MOROCCO, 11th July. The Kaids near Melilla have surrendered to the Spaniards.
