TWENTY-ONE MILLION PASSENGERS.
— <■ A New Plymouth resident writes to The Post to ask what was the number of passengers carried on the Wellington electric trams during the twelve months ended 31st March last. The exact figures will not be available until the bal-ance-sheet of the bubiness is adopted, but a t-tatcment ki lound numbers, supplied by the department, bhows that about twenty-one million passengers were carried, and that the tickets 6old -were equal to the number of passengers.
