The barometer lias risen everywhere with southerly winds strong to gale. The weather h»s been showery in most parts, and heavy rain has fallen on the east coast of the Noith Island. A fresh is reported m the liver at Gisborne. Seas have been heavy on the east coast between Bast Cape awl Kaikoura and on all western coabl. Frosts were experienced last night at Cambridge and Taupo, and a few places in the South Island though the weather there w.ia cold and damp. 4
