Beautiful weather prevailed for the t concluding day of the Victoria Racing Club's annual Grand National Steeplechase meeting at Flemington yesterday. Workmaster and Snob led out of the straight, Bribery being the last to move. Approaching the riverside Squirm was in command, with a three lengths' advantage from Pilot and Grafnax. At tho bridge Grafnax was at the head of affairs, Ripon coming to grief at the post and rails. Grafnax continued to show the way, and was still in front entering the straight. Next in order came Fred, Bribery, Postboy, and Confederate. The stone wall, however, proved fatal to Postboy's prospects. Grafnax was displaced from the leading position for a short distance, but the Sydney* horse regained it at the sheds, where Bribery, who was fencing faultlessly, was going well within himself. Grafnax looked all over a winner two fences from home, but he toppled over. Bribery, who had not put a foot on any of the obstacles, then assumed command. The Malvolio gelding was right cut on his own at the distance, from where lie had it all his own way, running hojne an easy winner •with a, fifteen lengths' margin from Confederate.
