PROTESTING JEHUS.
[BY TELEGRAPH — SPECIAL TO THE POST-3 .CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. , The City Council recently decided to remove the two carriers' stands which have stood from time immemorial in Cathedral-square, which threatens nowadays to be congested with tram and other traffic, and to send the carriers into half a dozen less-frequented thoroughfares close to the 'busiest parts of the, city. The removal has been hanging over the heads of the Jehus for a long time, but now that the decision has been taken there is much protesting, and the aggrieved persons propose to send a deputation to the council to urge reconsideration of the proposal.
