[from our own correspondent.] LONDON, 28th May. Kent beat Derbyshire at Chesterfield last week by an innings and 141 runs — Kent 357, Derbyshire 142 and 74. I Lancashire beat Somersetshire at Bath by nine runs. Lancashire scored 314 (MacLeod 128\ and 229; while Somerset replied with 334 (J. Daniell not out 121) and 200. Yorkshire gained a victory over Nori thamptonshire at Northampton by eight wickets — Yorkshire 253 and 113 for two wickets, Northampton 138 and 227. > Surrey and Warwickshire drew at Edgbaston. Surrey made 343 and 197, and Warwickshire 241 and 221 for four wicketa Notts defeated Leicestershire by seven wickets at Trent Bridge. Notts 451 and 40 for three wickets ; Leicestershire 250 and 240. Kent defeate-d Northamptonshire at Northampton by an innings and 160 runs, on Wednesday.
