Willis reports, also that he has now 220 persons on his list of unemployed, including some 40 unionists — urgent cases notified by the secretaries of unions. In several cases of extreme necessity, Messrs. S. Brown and Co., hearing .from the secretary that families were in straits for fuel, came forward to their help and donated a number of bags of coal, as much as two bags in some instances.
