SLY GROG-SELLING.
m ONE MONTH'S IMPRISONMENT. A plea of guilty was submitted in the Magistrate's Court to-day by Leonard Eussell, who, being a person without a license, was charged with (1) selling beer to Hugh Walker ; (2) selling beer to John Melville ; (3) selling beer to Hugh Walker. The three offences were committed last Sunday in a house in Taranaki-street. The police ransacked the place on Monday, but could only discover one full bottle of champagne and a large quantity of empty bottles. Accused was convicted, and sentenced to one month's imprisonment on each charge, the sentences to bo concurrent* Sub-Inspector Norwood prosecuted. „
