ADDINGTON STOCK SALE. !

Store sheep. — Average lines of hoggets of mixed sexes made 9s 6d to 10s 9d ; small and inferior (mostly halfbreds), 8s 9d to 10s 6d ; and ewe hoggets, up to 14s sd. Forward wethers sold at 12s 6d to 13s 3d, and low conditioned and inferior lines at 10s to lie. The best of the ewas was a line of two, four, and six-tooths, which made 16s 3d. Aged lines, with a fair proportion of sound-mouth sheep, brought 10s 3d, and old ewes 8s 6d to 10s. ' Fat lambs. — There was a fair demand for export, but prices were lower by about 6d per head, the decline, howevef, being partly due to a falling-off in quality. A few tegs made 14s 3d to 15s 6d| ordinary freezing weights, 12s 6d to 13u 9d ; and light and unfiuished, 10s to 12b. Store cattle. — Yearlings sold up to 30s, and dry cows to £2 10*. Dairy cows. — There was a fair demand, bidding being more free than usual, and pi-ices, ranged from £3 10s to £9 ss. Pigs. — Choppers sold up to £4 10s; heavy baconers, 55s to 645; lighter, 48b to 54s (equal to 4jd per lb) ; large porkore, 40e to 465; lighter, 33s to 38« {agujil to Sid to s|d pei- lb); large

stores, 30s to 34s 6d ; medium, 20s to 29m ; and weaners, lls 6d to 16s. Fat sheep. — Freezing wethers, 14s to 16s 6d ; heavy butchers' weights, 16s 9d to 18s 4d; light and unfinished, 10s 8d io 13s 6d ; merino wethers, 13s ; prime ewes, 14s to 15s 9d; medium, 12s to 13s 6d ; aged and light, 10s to lls 6d. Fat cattle. — Local steers ma-do £6 10s to £12 10s ; heifers, £5 to £8 12s 6d ; and "cows, £4 7s, 6d to £7 2s 6d ; North Island fcleers, £11 5s to £13 10s; heifers, £7 15s to £11 10s ; and cows, £8 5s to £9 7s 6d (equal to 20s 6d to 22s 6d for piime, 19s to 20s for medium, and 17s 6d to 18s 6d for cow and inferior, per ]001b).
