POULTRY SHOW AT NELSON.
[BY TELEGRAPH — PRESS ASSOCIATION.] KELSON, This Day. The Nelson Poultry Show opened today. The exhibition is the second largest in New Zealand, the entries totalling about 850. « The display of Old English game is very fine, over 100 being penned so far. The South Island C'hanipionshops wero a,s follows: — Old English, game, W. Coleman (Nelson) ; Plymouth Rocks, H. C Jacka (Nelson) ; Orpingtons, A. Lovviran (Blenheim). Canary, any variety. — Hamilton and Kerr (Neb>on). L. Reed gets a leg-in in the Buff Orpington Cup, and A. Lovvman a leg-in in the Black Orpington Cup. The Nelson Association's five-guinea trophy for Old English Game was won outright by S. J. O'Connor. }>&:. Gren&idc (Wellington) secured a leg-in in the Magpie Cup.
