MR. CHAMBERLAIN'S BIRTHDAY.
[BY TELEGE\PH — PRESS ASSOCIATION.] DUNEDIN, This Day. As a result of the sixpenny subscriptions, as suggested by the Dunedin Star, the following cable, signed by the Mayor and president of the Dunedin Chamber of Commerce, was sent to the chairman of the Chamberlain meeting at the AJbert Hall, London : — "The citizens oi Dunedin congratulate Mr. Chamberlain on his achievements in the interests of the Empire, and extend good wishes and highest appreciation of the services of himself and his devoted wife that have signally and conspicuously bettered the conditions of life." The chairman of the Dunedin Stock Exchange forwarded birthday greetings on behalf of the Exchanges of New Ze<*!and.
