Trade sections affiliated comprise builders and contractors, timber mer chanta, mastor butchers, ma-ster grocers, master plumbers, aiastor printers, inast-er tailors, retail shop-keepers, licensed victuallers, and' electrical contractors The office of ' the association is now a well-recog-nised centre at which information and advice may -be obtained regarding Arbitration Court awarcis and industrial matters, and the committeo considers members are thus able to secum practical assistance and advice of such value as to more than compensate them, in thib resj>ei,l alone, for their annual subscriptions. The secretary has advised and ropresbiited • employers in disputes with the following unions— viz., brickla-yers, carpenters, drivers, furnituremakers, grocers, tailors, timber yards and cawmilie, and bakorS and pastrycooks. During the absence from Wellington of the secretary of the federation, tho secretary has attended |to matters of urgency, and has contributed to making tho federation s central- office 'a valuable bureau of information for the employers of the Dominion.
