SUBSTANTIAL DECREASE LAST YEAR. By Telegrapti.— Presa Association.— Copyright, LONDON, 12th June Replying to a question in the House of Commons yesterday, Mr. Winston Churchill, President of the Board of Trade, stated that, excluding in each case bullion and specie, Germany's corrected imports during 1908 for homo consumption were valued at fifty-three and a quarter millions sterling below those of 1907. There was also a decrease in the exports of domestic merchandise and produce amounting to twenty-two and a quarter millions.
