CHARGE OF BLASPHEMY.
♦ . SENTENCE OF IMPRISONMENT: By Telegraph.— Press Assocfation.— CapjrJght (Received June 11, 11.40 a.m.) LONDOiN, 10th June. Harry Boulter, who was convicted of ■ blasphemy at the Old Bailey sessions in February of }ast year, has been sentenced to a m<aith"s imprisonment. Boulter, who is 37 years old, was charged with ha.ving on three successive Sundays, while addressing meetings at Highbury-cornea-, used language of the most blasphemoiis and horrible character. He had been cautioned over and over again, but ha had dared the authorities to prosecute him. When charged at Bow-street, the magistrate handed to Boulter the information upon which process was obtained, and explained that he did so in order that it should no£ bb necessary to let anyone in court hear what, if true, wat> a disgrace to any human being. Eventually, Boulter was committed for tiial, and at the Old Bailey Mr. Justice Phillimore ordered him to come up for judgment when called upon ; the judge adding that such cases would not he treated so leniently in future. Apparently, Boulter has '-epeated ths offence, jind has now been sentenced on the original conviction.
