MIRAMAR RACES. PONY AND GALLOWAY CLUB.

VICTORIA HANDICAP .WON BY MOATA. The May meeting of the Wellington Pony and Galloway Racing Club was concluded at 'Miramar on Saturday. The going was heavy. The principal event, the Victoria Handicap, was won by Moata, who acted as runner-up to Psyche the previous Saturday. The Otaki-owned i^uia, making his first appearance at Miramar, won a double, as also did Aurifera. The easiest win of the afternoon was that of Anglican, a double winner .the previous Saturday, in the concluding event. Earlier in the day he ran third to Aurifera. St. Helena lost her rider shortly after the start. The events were got off to time, and the afternoon's sport passed off without protest or objection oi any kind.
