THE OINQUEVALLI SEASON.
The enterprise of Mr. Harry Rickards in bringing to Australia and New Zealand artists with the best of English, American, and Continental reputations, has probably never been appreciated more in- the Dominion than during the visit of the present company, " which | opens a season of eight nights on WedI nesday evening next at the Opera House. Record attendances have witnessed its performances in Dunedin, Cbristchurch, and Auckland. The season in the Northern city terminated on Saturday evening, according to a telegram received to-day by Mr. M. Marcus, the touring manager of the company. The largest house ever known in Auckland attended the farewell performance, which gave an enthusiastic send-off to Cinquevalli and the other members of the company. Cinquevalli was recalled seven times, and the large audience would not rest until the famous juggler came on to the stage to I make a short farewell speech. The company is playing this evening at Wanganui, to-morrow at Palmerston North, and will arrive here oh Wednesday by the first train from Palmerston. Seats can still be booked at the Dresden. The only matinee of the season will be given on Saturday afternoon.
