WITH reference to invitation advertised by the L T nion Steam Ship Company, asking the relatives of those of the Crew of the Penguin who were drowned to send in their Claims under the Workers' Compensation Act, the Seamen's Union has been legally advised that the relatives have a claim under the Deaths by Accidents Compensation Act and independently of the Workers' Compensation Act. As tho amount of compensation is not limited by tho former Act, claimants would do well to pauso before making claims under the Workers' Compensation Act. If they file their claims thereunder they will probably bo barred from the benefit of the better remedy. W. T. YOUNG, Secretary.
