ASHBUETON, This Day. The Ashburton County Racing Club's Autumn Meeting commenced to-day. The weather is ideal, and there is z, large attendance. Sixteen bookmakers were licensed at a fee of £15 10s each. Results :—: — N Longbeach Hack, of 50 soys ; six furlongs. — Montreal 1, Blythboy 2, Salaam 3. Won by a neck. Time, Imin j.Bsec. Fairfield Handicap, of 70 soys ; seven furlongs. — Contender 1, Zetland 2, Ivanoff 3. Won by half a length. Time, Imin 31 2-ssec. Ashburton Cup, of 200 soys ; one mile and a quarter. — Dabchick 1, Field Gun 2, Gwendolina 3. Won by four lengths. Time, 2min 12 2-ssec.
