AUCTION AND PROPERTY SALES

On Wednesday, the 26th May, Messrs. W. H. Turnbull and Co. will sell by auction at their rooms, 27, Pana-ma-street : Two five-roomed cottages at Petone, and a large level block of vacant land at the corner of Adelaideroad and Herald-street, Berhampore. Ea-ch of these sales is by order of the mortgagee, through the Registrar. Messrs. J. H. Bethune and Co. announce in our auction columns that on Monday next, 17th instant) at 2.30 p.m., at their rooms, they are holding an auction of freehold properties. Two properties are in Macdonald-crescent, being residences No. 11, containing 14 rooms, and No. 13, containing 11 rooms. These are let at £2 15s and £2 5s per week respectively. On Friday, at 3, South-avenuo. they will sell the contents of six rooms, fully furnished, sale commencing at 1.30. At Johnsonville, at Mr. Victor F. Hughes's farm (late Mrs. Pickens), on Monday, commencing at 12.20 o'clock, the firm will sell 36 head of cattle and dairy sundries. The firm advertise fuller particulars of the furniture sale to be held at Mr. T. E. Donne's residence, No. 233, Wel-lington-terrace, on Tuesday and Wednesday next, 18th and 19th insts. The sale commences each day at 10 o'clock, and will be continued, with a half hour's luncheon adjournment, until 5 p.m. The list includes a large number of water colours and oil paintings, a collection of Maori and South Sea Island curios, and the complete furniture of ten rooms.
