THE COMING SESSION.
No date has yet been fixed for the meeting of Parliament. It is probable that it will be called together "for the despatch of business" about the usual time — the last week in June. Being the first session of the new Parliament, the proceedings of the Legislature will be opened by Commission, and' the formal ceremony, with the customary "Speech from the Throne," will take place on the following day. As the Government cannot expend public funds without express authority after the 30th of June, it will be necessary to pass an Imprest Supply Bill before, or by, that date. Otherwise salaries to public servants of all grades could not be paid. On this occasion it is probable that the first Imprest Supply Bill of the session will be the sequel for a debate oil far more extensive and important lines than has greeted the introduction of the measure for many years past.
