The Lower House of Convocation at Canterbury, with seven dissentients, vesolved that it was undesirable to alter the ornaments of the rubric or to prohibit the two existing usages regarding communion vestures. VICTORIAN LOAN. LONDON, Bth May. The Victorian loan of £1,500,000 at 3£ per cent., which was issued on Thursday, ie now quoted at £98 6a 3d — 5-16ths premium. PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALLERS. SYDNEY, Bth May. The "Kangaroos," the Australian professional team which has just returned from a tour of the Northern English countries, defeated the pick of New South Wales by 43 to 10.
