TALMA STUDIO.

» Of photographers and the taking of photographs there is no end, and the Talma Studio, on the" corner of Cuba and Dixon streoU, has come into the competition here to show what it can do in the matter of artistic and natural likenesses. A representative of The Post had a look through the studio to-day, and found therein everything that an up-to-date photographic studio should possess. The staircase entrance contains three large show cases, decorated in the interior with numerous examples of the finished article, mainly in sepia, of which work the management intends to make a specialty. The walls of the staircase are lined with artistic sepia enlargements ; the landing, reception, and dressing rooms and gallery being similarly miniature picture exhibitions. The general colour scheme of the studio is a warm green, while tho furniture, made to special design by Mr. Edward Collie, of Newtowu, is at once unique and quietly distinctive. The gallery and reception rooms are very spacious and bright, the fittings harmonising and comfortable. The dressing-room, whore vanity looks upon itself, and prepares the final touches ere the veracious lens is faced, is fitted with a handsome pier glass and mirrored duchosse, the floor being lined with pile rugs in the prevailing colour. A special feature of this studio, states the management, wil' be sepia and kindred enlargements, numerous examples of which are advantageously hung throughout the room. Quality, consonant with a reasonable tariff, is the motto of the Talma Studio, and the eight workrooms on the premises will enable any amount of work to be got through with dispatch.
