Presentations of recent date to the Boys' Institute Library consist of twelve volumes of Nelson's Encyclopaedia, by Mr. J. G. Smith, and gifts of booke from Messrs. Hustwick, C. Dick, and Miss Glasgow. Mr. Coloneus, general secretary, is anxious to see the library grow. There are 37 boys usiug the lending library, and it has been ascertained that they show a preference for Indian and school stories. Chamberlain's Colic, Cholera, and Diarrhoea Remedy is the most successful medicine in the woiid for bowel complaints, both for adults and children.
