WEDDING AT THE BASILICA.
o. An imposing wedding took place id the Basilica, Hill-street, this morning, when Mr. William Holley was married to Miss Bridget M'Manaway. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Father Holley, brother of the bridegroom, and the clergy assisting were Yen. Archdeacon Devoy, Fathers O'Shea (VicarGeneral), Hills, Peoples, Hickson, Mahoney, Goggan, Herbert, and Bowden. The best man was Mr. Abbott, of Pahautanui, and the bride was giveD aw ay by her brother, Mr. John M'Manaway. The church was crowded, and the sacred ceremony was followed with the closest interest by the numerous relatives and friends of the parties. The wedding breakfast was held at the Goring-street Hall, and there were over 150 guests present. The usual toasts were drunk with the utmost enthusiasm.
